Vilanija is a settlement in the Republic of Croatia, under Umag municipality in Istrian County.

Umag is a city on the west side of Istrian peninsula. Even though it is small, it is still a strong touristic competitor and it offers many possibilities for having a good time. The city is full of restaurants which offer quality local specialities. Along the Umag coast a seafront stretches out, there you can find sweet delicacies like crepes or fritule and watch a beautiful sunset. For those who love sport we recommend visiting Umag during July when one of the most famous tennis players are gathered to play on a well-known ATP tournament and in the evening hours after the matches, concerts are organized and a good time is guaranteed.


Istra

Croatia


Croatia is a small country with a handful of natural riches and phenomena. On only 56 594 km2 there is 8 national parks and 11 nature parks. The continental part can also be divided into regions and one of them is Slavonia. Slavonia is renowned for its numerous delicacies and Slavonian kulen has been entered as immaterial cultural heritage. In this region of Croatia golden fields of wheat are stretching out and it is a suitable habitat for various species of birds.

Pula

City famous for its roman amphitheatre, in which gladiator fights were once held, amazes tourists from all around the world.

Pula’s Arena was built in the 1st century during the rule of Emperor Vespasian, at the same time as the most famous archaeological structure of the same kind, the Roman colosseum.

Rovinj

60 km ~ 30 min


On the beautiful coast of Istria, right underneath Channel Lim the most romantic place on Mediterranean is located. City of Rovinj is the right destination for those of you who yearn for sentimental atmosphere of the time that has already come to pass long ago.

On Mediterranean you can find that here, in the city which has begun its romantic life on an island whose narrow space conditioned the building of compact houses, narrow streets and small squares that are even today untouched by modern urbanism.

Poreč

For Istrian coast it is said that every cove hides a beach. In Poreč every lagoon hides a couple of beaches, one more beautiful than the other.

Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč is one of the most beautifully preserved monuments from the early Byzantine art on the Mediterranean. It was built in the 6th century on the spot of an early Christian church, in the time of bishop Euphrasy and Emperor Justinian I. and it is located in the bishop complex.

Motovun

35 km~ 20 min


Because of its value, attractive medieval forts and favourable climate conditions, Motovun is becoming an attractive touristic destination. The region combines a specific way of life, abundance of possibilities and activities for nice and eventful vacation.

Stunning and unique landscapes in ecologically clean environment encourage the return to health and self-comfort.
This is a real heaven for nature and adventure lovers.

Hum

35 km ~ 25 min


Hum is mentioned as the smallest city in the world. It has only around 30 inhabitants and preserved municipal institutions.
It is located in inner Istria, 14 kilometres southeast from Buzet.

Inside the preserved city walls there are two small alleys, a parish church of Assumption of Mary built in 1802. and a Romanic church of saint Jeronim from 12th century that is painted with frescoes under the Byzantine influence with an abundance of glagolic writings and graffiti by master Antun from Padua (Kašćerge).

Grožnjan

20 km ~ 15 min


Grožnjan-Grisignana, small istrian city of big cultural impact, not only in Croatia but also on an international level, it lives intensively during summer months. Every year at the beginning of May, the streets and squares of Grožnjan go through a metamorphosis and change into a real artistic hive: summer music academies for the younger, art, dance, drama and peaceful activism workshops are opened, all under the guidance of famous experts and educators from the field of music and dramatic arts.
